Are you hung in the vines, ready to give up on your story?
Does completing a first draft feel impossible right now?
One of the best ways to kick-start your work, navigate sticking points, and reignite your writing passion is to take on some writer coaching. Â
You'll move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to experiencing a profound sense of accomplishment in your creative process. Imagine feeling confident and capable, equipped with empowering tools and effective accountability to finally trust your voice, finish the first draft of your manuscript, and share it with a soaring self-belief.
It's time for your voice to be heard, where you truly believe you are a skilled, disciplined, and effective writer ready to impact readers and embark on new projects, feeling inspired.
Introducing the BLOOM methodÂ
The BLOOM method is a series of steps you can take toward completing the first draft of your novel. It's split into five parts, each focusing on particular aspects of your writing. You're welcome to work through the entire method or select just one or a few steps, depending on the type of support you need.
Take a look at the programme below for a detailed breakdown of what each step covers. All coaching sessions include one-hour one-to-one discussions, email support, and other goodies.
I also offer single one-hour bonus sessions if you wish to tackle a particular issue with specialised support. Or reach out to me if you prefer a bespoke six-session coaching service tailored directly to your needs (price on application).
Step One | Break Ground Â
By the end of this step, you’ll possess a working blueprint for your novel, having meticulously refined your story’s core, characters, plot, perspective, and tone. With this clarity, you’ll be able to confidently articulate your premise and complete your novel’s synopsis, knowing your manuscript stands on a firm foundation.

Step Two | Lighten Your Load
By the end of this step, you’ll understand the root causes of your writing blocks and have a personalised toolkit of practical and emotional strategies to navigate self-doubt, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome. You’ll shift from being paralysed or stuck to confidently returning to your manuscript, consistently progressing rather than restarting sections or constantly re-editing.
Some of the snags that writer coaching helps tackle:Â
- Overwhelm
- Stagnation
- Re-editing
- Your internal critic
- Procrastination
- Comparison
- Time/resources
- Commitment
- Critical perception
- Knowledge skills
- Prioritisation
Step Three | Order Your World
At the end of this step, you’ll have transformed your story from a collection of fragments, unnecessary scenes or jumbled chapters into a coherent, elegant, and actionable structural plan. You’ll gain perspective on how your fictional world might look and feel to the reader and a clear map of your narrative, moving from feeling lost or stuck in the middle of your book to knowing exactly where you are and what comes next.

Step Four | Own Your Voice
By the end of this step, you’ll deeply understand and confidently embrace your unique authorial voice. You’ll move from apprehension about your writing style to a powerful conviction that your perspective and expression are your greatest strengths, ready to infuse your story with compelling authenticity.

Step Five | Master Your Craft
By the end of this module, you’ll have the confidence to write, revise, and complete a first draft of your manuscript that you’re genuinely proud of. You’ll move from being an aspiring storyteller constantly at the coalface to a confident writer with a finished product, equipped with tools for future projects and a clear path toward publication.
Here’s a rundown of the process for each BLOOM method step:
- You’re welcome to submit a contact form to let me know about your project.
- You receive a pre-project questionnaire to complete and return.
- We arrange a half-hour discovery call to go through your goals and requirements.
- You send a digital version of your manuscript for assessment of up to 10,000 words (1.5 or double-spaced in Microsoft Word).
- If your work is in Google Docs, please export this into a Word file so edits are trackable by version number.
- We draw up a timeline that works for you around your other commitments, and I’ll draw up a contract for you to sign.
- We arrange one-hour coaching sessions to help tackle your issues, which are recorded unless you wish otherwise.
- At the end of each session, we’ll review your progress to keep the project moving forward and ensure we’re hitting your goals.
- You’ll receive email support for accountability and project check-ins.
- You’re welcome to set up one-off coaching sessions after a BLOOM step if you want to continue nailing a particular problem (extra cost).
- Or, you can book the next steps in the BLOOM method if you want to complete the entire coaching offer.
